Since their collaborative work “Grand Prix der Pendler” in 2008 the director and writer Shelly de Vito and HEIM.ART® work together very closely. Shelly De Vito now wrote a commissioned play referring to the dominating topic of the series “Land in sight- Waves”: Water. This play had its premiere at July 18th 2009 in the “Station Neufelden”. The dramaturge Elke Richly translated the play into German for the show. The story's central character is Brooke, a wistful young woman who does research in the meaning of life taking really unusual paths.
The cast of BABBLING BROOKE which had been chosen specially for this event produced the premiere within one week. In the spirit of the “artist in residence project” artists from the United States, Germany and Austria met in the inspiring space of “Die Station Neufelden” to exchange ideas.
After a mutual sensitization and alignment on the water topic in the guided tour of the artist Joachim Eckl through his permanent exhibition, the visitor group of environmental engineers watched the premiere of BABBLING BROOKE. After the show all guests were invited for dinner by HEIM.ART® to round up the evening in a joint meal of artists and visitors. In a cosy get together people could share perceptions, sensitivities and interests.
