Hermes, the messenger of gods, translates the god’s messages into comprehensible and credible messages for people.


Artists convey their approach and experiences in a dialogue with participants as way of understanding and orientation!

 

Starting in August 2010, Joachim Eckl is going to invite an artist for a 3 daily Hermes-talk to the Station in Neufelden twice a year. A maximum of 6 art lovers can take part in these exclusive workshops. In talks, presentations, exercises and activities the lecturer will discuss, convey and develop a contemporary understanding of art. Already existing experiences and art works as well as documentations of current works will serve as a basis for this discussion of art. The participants shall play a part in this process with their own ideas and works. The motto is: "I only grasp what captured me.”

 

Hermes talks about art now are taking place in cooperation with the artist and pedagogue Karl-Heinz Tritschler from Weimar The common works of Tritschler and Eckl in Egypt serves as a basis for this art-dialogue. In particular the end of art shall be explained and an idea about the future of art - in the expanded concept of art referring to Joseph Beuys - shall be developed. – “Everybody is an artist”.

 

The costs for the 3-day workshop will be 500 € per participant. Interested parties are requested to apply using a short description of their personal interests.
