Land in sight - Mozart-digestion

A coproduction of HEIM.ART® and Landestheater Linz within the Mozart-year

Based on an idea by Joachim Eckl

4th of April 2007
Station Neufelden

Every time we remember him, he turns in his grave. And just because he likes it – especially in 2006 – we add another turn. Fresh air for Mozart – a scenic open air event in Neufelden.

Carriages take the Landestheater Linz to Neufelden. “Lieber Gaulimauli” is the title of the choir’s programme, containing Mozart rounds and the “Bäsle letters”: Mozart’s letters to his dearest “bäsle häsle” Maria Anna Thekla. A 21 year old young man, the buffoon that remained a bit of a child has a fling in these letters. With exuberant creativity, wit, fun and fantasy Mozart plays with letters, words and sentences. Linguistic senselessness alternates with drastic filthy humour and testifies Mozart’s even brute artistic energy that is reflected not only in his music but also in his as brilliant as easy composed texts.
