The LAND IN SIGHT - OLYMPICS connect art and education with the original spirit of Olympia.


As opposed to the exaggerated performance requirements and false Olympic spirit the HEIM.ART®- Olympics offer a creative motivation and education programme for the pubils of the region. It is based on an expanded concept of art and works as an impulse for creation in the regional cultural and educational life. Creative work with pupils of the region – art as an educational impulse concerning art and social politics seems to be important to us in the creative work with pupils. Our aim is to let the creative spirit of art as well as the Olympic spirit as a “serious game” and “impulse for a joint development and self realization” take effect and become visible.

Trip to Vienna

In February 2011 Joachim Eckl invited the pupils of the elementary school in Neufelden to a trip to Vienna to visit the National Library and the Egyptian collection. In connection to the series of events "Land in sight Olympics" Eckl taught the pupils about the human memory bank and its construction by using the exhibitis.
