Rasha Ragab is an Egyptian artist and works internationally. She heads the Dimension Gallery in the Museum of Modern Art in Cairo and constantly deals with the women’s role in art and society in her works. The starting point for her performances is the “picture of women” from the art history. She senses these paintings and breathes new life into them. She showed her performance “Harim – Harim” at the 11th Biennale in Cairo, in London and Munich in 2009. Since 2008 the artist works closely together with Joachim Eckl. They created numerous installations and performances together working within the 11th Biennale in Cairo and cooperating in London and Munich. “Picasso’s Women” is being shown publicly in Neufelden for the first time.
