Video works:

Appearance I: Ice-pyramid – a reminder of RE

The video work „Appearance I“ goes back to the beginning of Egyptian mythology. When the sun-god Re sees the ice-pyramid in the desert he is remembering the origin of the world - the primary hill ascending out of the water - which found its symbol in the shape of the pyramid. Slowly the ice-pyramid is melting in the light of his sunrays. At the same time the sun god himself is reminding us to the basic idea of the pyramid. He shows us the primary-image of a pyramid by building a “frozen sunray” with his light.

Appearance II: Sun-wind – Endless dance of NUT

The video work “Appearance II” plays with the sun - the central body of our planetary system - and the eternal life of gods. The wind, the energy which makes Nut, the goddess of the sky dance with the sun is created by the sun itself. So as long as the sun shines, the goddess will dance and stay alive. And as long as the goddess dances in the sky the sun will not go down and continue to shine.

Liquid memory I: River turn-around - CHNUM's comeback

In the video work „Liquid memory I“ a house without walls has found its home in the river. When Chnum, the god of creation sees this idea of a house - open in all directions - he gets active. Chnum makes the river turn around and sends him back to its origin. By changing direction and going back to its origin the river does not come to his end. Now the stream can flow forever. It has found eternal life, like human beings do, when they travel back to the sun after they have died.

Liquid memory II: Humid hands - Air and water/

SCHU and TEFNUT

The video work „Liquid memory II “ shows mail and female hands acting separately next to each other. The hand's movement is stimulated by the touch of water. Mail and female hands are handling the world and themselves differently, caused by their specific energies. Just like air and water they behave differently. In Egyptian mythology Schu, the god of air, and his sister Tefnut, the goddess of water bring duality and opposite genders - men and women - in the world. They complement each other like the left and right hand.
