The galabeya is the traditional Egyptian garment worn by men. Seven galabeyas were sewn on canvases and laid down - like a burial site - on a Nile-island near Luxor. The men of the island poured - in collective field work - Nile-water daily onto the garments for 12 days, until the river overflowed the island.
